SHOCKING NEWS: Ex Packers QB Responds To NFL Legend After Offseason Critique.NO.1

Aaron Rodgers has certainly a lot of ricochet and not-so-ricochet shots these past few months.

One person who had one of those shots aimed at the former Green Bay Packers quarterback was Pittsburgh Steelers legend and four-time Super Bowl champion QB, Terry Bradshaw, who ridiculed the team’s interest in the four-time MVP back in May.

And now Rodgers has responded to those comments; officially a Steeler and now at his first training camp with the organization. Yet instead of clapping back at Bradshaw, he chose a different route – offering to get to know the two-time Super Bowl MVP and to develop a “deeper” understanding of one another.

Rodgers Tries Different Approach With Terry Bradshaw

“Terry’s a legend. He’s an absolute legend,” Rodgers said to NFL Network, “He won four Super Bowls. He’s had a legendary career in the media,” Rodgers said in the interview, which took place as part of NFL Network’s Back Together Weekend coverage. “But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn’t know me. So, he’s got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I’ve done, the documentary, what I’ve said, darkness retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about.

“I’d love to get to know Terry on a deeper level,” Rodgers said, “and I feel like if he gave me a chance to get to know him then we’d have a good friendship because for me I have nothing but the utmost amount of respect and deference for what the greats have done because they laid the foundation for us to be able to play in this great game …I’d love to get to know Terry on a deeper level if he’s open to it. Maybe we can go chew some bark or whatever the hell he’s talking about.”

What Started The Aaron Rodgers/Terry Bradshaw Beef?

Bradshaw said back in May that he was not excited by the prospect of Rodgers signing with the franchise that he had so much success with back in the 1970s, claiming that the former Packer should “stay in California”, whilst claiming that the team did not do right by their 2022 first round QB, Kenny Pickett – who is now with division-rivals, the Cleveland Browns.

“That’s a joke. That to me is just a joke,” Bradshaw said in reference to the Steelers’ pursuit of Rodgers. “What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.”

“I liked Kenny Pickett, I liked him at Pitt. I know him, I know what he’s like. When they got him to Pittsburgh, they didn’t protect him, they didn’t get him an offensive line. They wanted to run the football, but they didn’t have an offensive line that could protect and they didn’t have weapons. He had no wide receivers to speak of.”

There is no doubt in almost anyone’s mind that Rodgers is a preferable quarterback to have in 2025 than Kenny Pickett, who could conceivably start the 2025 regular season as Cleveland’s third or fourth choice signal caller. But Bradshaw seemingly remains unconvinced.

Hopefully for the pair, they can sort it out. If not, we are in for some fiery indirect exchanges between the two this forthcoming season if things don’t go to plan in Pittsburgh.
