The administration’s handling of the Epstein files has drawn criticism from across the political spectrum, but the most damaging blow has come from an unexpected source: Fox News. In detailed reporting, Fox revealed that the Justice Department applied redaction standards not only to protect victims — which the law allows — but also to politically exposed individuals and government officials. The implication was unavoidable. Transparency, it appeared, had limits, and those limits aligned conspicuously with political interests.
