Kirk Cousins spent six years of his NFL career as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the current Atlanta Falcons quarterback still hangs out with some of his old teammates.

Before heading off to training camp this week, Cousins spent some quality time with current Vikings long snapper Andrew DePaola and former Minnesota wide receiver Adam Thielen, along with their spouses, according to a recent story shared by the quarterback’s wife, Julie, on her personal Instagram account.

While they were all smiles during their recent time together, both Cousins and Thielen know they are nearing a 2025 season that could determine the rest of their careers in the NFL.

The former Vikings quarterback is scheduled to begin the 2025 campaign as the No. 2 signal-caller behind Michael Penix Jr. for the Falcons, while the Minnesota-born pass-catcher has to deal with the Panthers drafting a receiver in the first round for the second year in a row.

Last season was Cousins’ first that wasn’t in a Vikings uniform since 2017, and it did not go well for him at all. He set a new career-high with 16 interceptions, and he was benched for Atlanta’s final three games in favor of Penix.

Despite a ton of speculation this offseason that he would end up elsewhere, Cousins is still with the Falcons, and he’s on track to easily be the most expensive backup quarterback in the NFL this season.

As for Thielen, he’s in the final year of his contract with Carolina, and some recent footage of him working out in Minnesota with J.J. McCarthy has some Vikings fans hoping he finds his way back to the purple and gold before his pro career ultimately comes to an end.
