Our 11-year-old granddaughter, Sophia Raine Ballinger, attempted to commit suicide on Monday, September 29th in the evening. She is in Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital fighting for her life. The school and police department are investigating potential bullying at school, but there has been no official confirmation of that. Sophia is a smart, kind-hearted little girl who is full of life and love. Sophia has never met a stranger and brings a smile to the face of anyone who meets her.

Her mother, Kisha Hammock , is a single mom who works hard to do everything she can for her kids and anyone else who needs anything. Sophia also has a 13-year-old brother that her mother is raising as well. With this tragedy, Kisha is not working, and bills are going to begin to build up. We have not left the hospital since this tragedy occurred. Now is the time for others to give back to Kisha and show her the love that she shows everyone else. Please help in any way you can. If you can’t give, we understand that; just continue to pray… that means so much.
