ESPN, Disney+, and Skydance Sports are releasing The Kingdom, a six-episode docuseries about the Kansas City Chiefs:
This week, it was announced that the ESPN Original Series will premiere on August 14 on ESPN, ESPN+, and Disney+.
“The Kingdom” dives deep into the Chiefs’ legacy – from over 60 years of highs and lows to their incredible 2024 season. It will give fans never-before-seen access as well as a front-row seat to the making of a modern NFL dynasty.
Directed by Kristen Lappas (Giannis: The Marvelous Journey), the series is produced by the team behind “The Last Dance.”
In the mold of The Last Dance and The Dynasty, The Kingdom promises to unpack the Kansas City Chiefs’ long-standing impact on the NFL. Despite an impressive season, their storybook run ended in heartbreak, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the finale.
Episodes 1 and 2 will also air on ESPN at 9 PM ET August 14August 14 while all six episodes will be available on ESPN+ and Disney+ the same day.

“so this was the context on why 99% of the talking heads wanted them to 3 peat so bad.. oh well,” one fan said.
